Hope everyone is doing well and taking life one day at a time. 🫠 Today, I want to chat with you about something really fascinating: the intricate relationship between autism, ADHD, and personality disorders like narcissism.

It’s not unusual for folks with autism or ADHD to have some symptoms that might suggest they have a personality disorder like narcissistic personality disorder. But here's the thing - these conditions are totally different, and if they're not diagnosed correctly, things can get messy. 😵‍💫

Autism and ADHD are developmental conditions that typically start showing up in early childhood and can affect social interaction, communication, and behavior. Personality disorders, though, involve patterns of behaviors, emotions, and thoughts that can make it difficult for a person to establish and maintain healthy relationships.

Also, trauma can play a part in why someone might develop a personality disorder. And people with autism or ADHD might be more sensitive to trauma, which could cause them to start acting like narcissists to help them cope.
